Kim Kardashian Success Using Twitter
This Twitter Mashable story about Kim Kardashian (Kim Kardashian Case Study), her use of Twitter, and the discussion about influence versus popularity grabbed my attention!
Kim has successfully used Twitter, showing that Twitter is a useful social medium. She has the most referrals to her site from Twitter, almost equal to referrals from Google.
Kim Kardashian is an attraction marketing leader! She successfully uses Twitter as it should be used, a social networking outlet. Kim uses Twitter to talk about what she is doing, the events and issues she is involved in and includes the site links in her tweets. She is personable and this makes her likeable! She is successfully using Twitter in her attraction marketing strategy, and she has the traffic to prove it!
Twitter only gives you 135 characters to tell your story. Kim does not waste it for the commercial sale of products she uses. She instead talks about where she is, what she is doing and gives you a link to her site that tells you about the products. Kim’s success carries over to the issues and topics she is interested in sharing. Using only 135 characters, she shows new MLM networkers the right way to to use social media.
Kim’s success using Twitter is not the only case I know of! Tim Jackson with the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) uses Twitter successfully, too. Tim used Twitter and Facebook at the 2010 Paris Auto Show, sharing with us the cool new cars! They were awesome! He used Twitter and Facebook again while in Tokyo at a baseball game! Knowing Tim makes it easy to relate to automobiles and CADA.
LinkedIn and Facebook are abused by MLMs, who do not know how to be social networkers. My proof? Kim Kardashian and Tim Jackson! No one cares about your products in social networking. They care about you! What do you have to offer first, and maybe, if they like you, they will ask you about your products. In social media you are selling you, not the product.
