Vatna and Ghara Ghardoli: Vatna, which is a paste of vermilion, milk, and saffron will be placed on the bride’s body by her female relatives. The Ghara Ghardoli ceremony is when the bride is bathed in a holy water that is inside a pitcher which is taken from a nearby temple.

Sehrabandhi & Ghodi Chadna: Before the groom leaves for the wedding place, his father or an elderly relative ties a sehra on his head. Subsequent to that, his sister-in-law will line his eyes with surma and then he climbs on his ghodi and goes to the venue.

Milni: When the barat gets to the venue, the bride’s family welcomes the groom’s family with gifts as well as cash.

Jaimala and Wedding Puja: This takes place after the milni in which the bride and the groom will exchange thick flower garlands. The kanyadaan takes place and then both the bride and the groom do mangalpheras around the sacred fire.

Rituals after the Wedding: Vidaar: When the bride leaves her parents’ home, she throws puffed rice on her head which implies that she will return whatever she took and then her mom tries to catch it in her pallu.

Paani Varna: The groom’s mom performs an arti with a pitcher of water when the bride and groom are at the doorway of the groom’s house.
