Love life in a furniture factory

My name is Mei-Lu Chan and I work in a prestigious furniture factory in the Fujian province of China. I am 38 years old and had never been married. A few weeks ago after many years hard work, I was promoted to the farmhouse table section in the pine furniture department. The factory is famous within the industry, and imports all over Europe. Our biggest market is America, and we are always being visited by American business people, making sure we are working to standard.

My one dream was to be married, with one son. My friends told me, I was much too ugly to be married, as I had awful problems with my teeth. I saved form many years, and eventually saw a dentist. My teeth are now beautiful, and I feel more confident, to hunt for a husband. There is a man at work I love. My friends tease me, as he is old and balding but I don’t care.

My confidence is growing every day, and I feel now that my teeth are fixed ,I have a chance to marry and have the son I really want. I feel happier and happier, and can not wait for my dreams to become reality.

There is a man I like who is not married,he works in the pine wardrobe section, I make sure I walk passed him as often as I can. He is very talented,and would make a good father, He is older than me,and loosing his hair,but I love him. I always walk slowly passed him and, sometimes bump into him,or pretend to fall over,I try to get him to pick me up of the floor ,he has not done this yet,but I keep trying.

This morning everything changed. Fed up of waiting for something to happen. I noticed his back was towards me. Picking up a wooden plank, I threw it at him. I was mortified when it hit him, and he fell to the ground. I had only meant to be playful. When he came to, he looked into my eyes, and thanked me for helping him. He told me I was beautiful and he had noticed my teeth. We are now going to be married this afternoon, and I know we will be very happy.
