Where Did The Miser Hide His Money

I am not sure that I would say that Peter Scrungeworthy was a pleasant man. I could say many things about him , but pleasant would not be one of them. Peter was a well known miser, he had inherited a factory that made pine furniture. The factory had been in his family for 3 generations, and during that time, had seen many changes, both politically, and socially. The Scrungeworthy family had seen a lot during their time.

Peter is one of those people that does not like change,The reason for this is simple , he thinks change will cost him money, not save money in the long term,or improve things, things like his factory.

Rumor has it that Scrungeworthy is a rich man. One would not think so from the holes in his trousers, and the fact that his boots are really held together , by their laces. Peter even has a house on the factory site, only so he can keep an eye on things,or so he says. The real answer might be that the house is a conversion of an old store room. The short distance of the house from the factory, means that Peter is always at work first,he always opens up the factory in the morning and closes it down at night.

The factory if famous for its selection of pine wardrobes, the range has every thing from small wardrobes to tall wardrobes. Also his kitchen tables, cover every size of farmhouse table that he can sell.

The daily takings were kept securely in a small wardrobe. Peter thought nobody knew but the whole factory were very aware where the takings were hidden and often swapped the wardrobes over to see if Peter would notice but he never did.
