Writing Articles – Tips That Help
Writing Articles has been proven to be the most effective way to get your website found. Some people hesitate to start because it seems hard to do. It is super easy for some folks, but I admit not for most of us.
That is not most of us. Certainly not me. But, here’s what I do. And, it really isn’t all that hard.
1. I try to chose a topic that is current with the interests of most people and that I know something about. If I want further information, the library is my first stop.
I do search the net for research some, but, I really want my articles to have new information, not just repeat what everyone else is saying.
2. While I am making research notes, I am also jotting down any thoughts I have on a different paper. These are often a phrase that will build a paragraph, maybe just something I want to be sure to say, or sometimes more key words I want to use.
3. The magazine stand at the super market is the next stop.I am not necessarily looking for a magazine on my topic. Rather I am looking for catchy headlines. The front of the magazines is a great place to learn to write catchy titles.
4. Back home again, and I organize all these notes and pick out as many keywords as I can. Jot my main thoughts down as these are the paragraphs topics.
And, now for the writing.
5. The inviting title needs at least one key word. More is better. It is fun to write inviting titles like “Grandpa Wore Blue Bloomers”, and it probably would get attention. But, if it has nothing to do with my topic, then forget it. I guess I could make the title “Grandpa Wore Blue Bloomers While I Wrote About Writing Articles”, but it is a very bad title, since my article has nothing to do with Grandpa or Bloomers. Resist the temptation to be silly and off base, it doesn’t work.
6. Use the keywords again in the introduction. But, make them flow naturally. Don’t write clumsy sentences, just to fit in your words. Remember this is an introduction, that means you are introducing your topic to the reader.
7. Paragraphs are next. A minimum of 3, 5-6 is better. But don’t run on and keep repeating yourself just to get more paragraphs. Build on the phrases you wrote down. And let the whole thing flow easily. Use more keywords if it works, but don’t force the use if it makes uncomfortable reading.
8. Your closing. Summarize what you have said. Include your main key words. Don’t just bluntly end. Smooth it out.
There it is. 8 points. It really doesn’t take much time. And, in your notes from your research you often have enough for another article. If you have more keywords, good, or you can write to the same ones again.
Writing Articles is so important to getting your site found. It is something you really need to do a lot of, and it is so true that the more you write, the easier it gets.
